# Moving from another provider

> Bring your venues, classes and camps across from Class4Kids as drafts, instead of typing your timetable in.

If your club books through Class4Kids today, you can bring your timetable across instead of typing it in. Your venues, classes and camps arrive as **drafts**, and nothing goes live until you publish it.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only the **Manager** who created the club can import, as part of [setting up](https://clubdock.co.uk/docs/getting-started/set-up-your-club.md), because an import brings in a whole timetable. Other managers can do the rest of setting up. Each club can import once.

## What comes across

* Your venues, with their names and addresses.
* Your classes and holiday camps, as draft programmes with their sessions, times, ages and descriptions.
* Your club's description, email, phone and logo, where those boxes are still empty. Your club's name and web address are never changed.
* Your terms, as a draft to read and publish, if you have none yet.

**Parents, children and bookings do not come across.** They aren't public on Class4Kids, and families register with your club themselves.

## Import your timetable

**1. Open the import**

At the top of the setup page, under **Moving from another provider?**, press **Import from Class4Kids**.

**2. Paste your Class4Kids address**

In **Your Class4Kids web address**, paste the address parents use to book with you, such as `https://your-club.classforkids.io`.

**3. Choose a cancellation policy**

Class4Kids has no cancellation policy we can copy, so choose one you have or create one there and then. Every imported programme uses it.

**4. Import**

Press **Import from Class4Kids**. You are told how many programmes and sessions came across, what else was filled in, and a list headed **Worth checking**.

![The import result, showing programmes and sessions brought across and the Worth checking list](https://mintcdn.com/club-dock/i5cYbq0jP2hBThbX/getting-started/import-result.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=i5cYbq0jP2hBThbX\&q=85\&s=080a1fc2511b23e214ab6d5ecf85f830)

If the import fills in your venue and cancellation rule, those setup steps tick themselves. When you're ready, **Review your programmes** takes you to them. Check each one, then [publish it](https://clubdock.co.uk/docs/programmes/preview-and-publish.md).

## How your classes and camps arrive

| On Class4Kids | In ClubDock |
| - | - |
| A class sold by the term | A programme booked as a whole block, with one session per date at an equal price that adds up to the term price exactly. £59.50 over seven Mondays becomes seven sessions at £8.50. |
| A class with a one-session trial | The programme offers a **Trial session** at the same price, once per child, free if the trial was free. See [How parents book](https://clubdock.co.uk/docs/programmes/how-parents-book.md). |
| A trial covering more than one session | No trial, because a ClubDock trial is one session. **Worth checking** says what it covered, so you can add one. |
| A holiday camp | A holiday camp booked by the day, one session per day still to come, at the day price. |
| A camp whose full week costs less than its days | The days come across at the day price. **Worth checking** says what the week cost, and what a parent booking every day now pays. |
| The same class several times a week | One programme each, named by day and time, such as "Badges to Bows (5-11 Years) – Monday 17:15". |
| A term price that doesn't divide evenly | A programme with no dates. **Worth checking** says what was charged, so you can set the price yourself. |
| Sold by monthly subscription, or a price we can't read | A programme with no dates, with the reason. Add dates and a price before you publish it. |
| A class whose term has already started | A programme with no dates, unless the same class runs next term. Then it arrives once, as next term's. |

ClubDock never picks a price for you. Where a price couldn't be carried over exactly, the programme waits for you.

## If the import doesn't work

| What you see | What it means |
| - | - |
| "That doesn't look like a Class4Kids address" | The address should end in `.classforkids.io`. Nothing has been sent. |
| "We couldn't find a Class4Kids club at that address" | Check the link and try again. Nothing was created. |
| "Class4Kids didn't let us read your timetable" | Nothing was imported. Try again later, or [set up your programmes by hand](https://clubdock.co.uk/docs/programmes/create-a-programme.md). |
| "We couldn't read all of your Class4Kids page in time" | Nothing was imported — never part of a timetable. Try again. |
| "This club has already been imported from Class4Kids" | Each club can import once. The setup page shows when it was imported. |
