Today is the first thing you see when you sign in. It shows the day, not a dashboard: the sessions on today, in the order they happen, and how many children each one is still waiting for.

Today’s sessions

At the top, a heading says how many sessions are on today and how many children are booked across them. Below it, each session has:
  • its start time and venue
  • how many children are still expected
  • a way into its register
Once the morning is under way, a marker across the timeline shows where the clock has got to. The next session to start is labelled Next up. After the last session of the day has started there is no marker, because nothing is next.
Today mid-morning, with the Next up session highlighted
The words on each row answer one question: who is still missing. If nothing is on today, Today says so and offers See the calendar. To take a register, press the session. See Taking a register.

Owed to you

Owed to you is the club’s whole total still owed, across every booking with money left on it, whether nothing has been paid or only part of it. It also says how many bookings that is across, and how much is past its due date.
  • Only what is left on a part-paid booking counts.
  • A cancelled booking never counts, even if it once showed a balance.
  • “Past its due date” uses the club’s own date, so a booking due yesterday is overdue from midnight.
It is stated plainly and never in red, because an unpaid booking is usually an oversight. See who owes what opens the bookings list. When everything has been paid it says Nothing outstanding. See Money owed to you for chasing what is owed.

Things waiting on you

These panels are shown to Managers.
Beside Owed to you is the column that means “waiting on you”. Each panel appears only when there is something in it.
  • Children waiting to be approved. Who is waiting and since when, with a link straight to them. A parent cannot book until you decide, so this stays on Today until you do. See Rules, warnings and approvals.
  • An accident report has not reached a parent. An email bounced, was marked as spam or could not be sent. It names the child, when it happened and each parent not reached, with their phone number. Ring them, then press Told by phone to clear it. If no parent who can book the child has an email address, it says Nobody could be emailed. See Accidents and incidents.
  • Things that have not reached your accounts. With Xero or QuickBooks connected, anything that did not sync. See When something does not sync.

While you are still setting up

Until a programme is on sale, Today shows the steps to set up your club instead of the day, under Finish setting up your club. See Set up your club. A second manager who joins a club somebody else is setting up does not see the steps. They are told the club is being set up, and that Today will show the day once a programme is on sale.
If your ClubDock bill is overdue, the club becomes read-only. While you are setting up, the steps are replaced by an explanation and a link to Billing, because every step would be a change the club cannot make. Registers keep working. See Your ClubDock subscription.
